Amazing grace.

My devotions for yesterday and today were regarding God's salvation through grace,by faith alone. And these were the two passages : Ephesians 2 and Romans 3.
I found it abit..*dont know how to complete the sentence lol* But yeah.It was amazing to be reminded of His salvation,His grace that saved me. and from the bottom of my heart,thank God for that salvation that comes by grace. Because by works,i and all of mankind would have failed very miserably. In this world where there's no such thing as "Yours for free!" ,yet the most important and awesome thing that there could possibly be is free. An open gift,an open invitation,an open hand that reaches out to us and all we have to do is say 'yes' and believe and follow that hand.So simple, yet how amazing and uncomprehensible is that gift. And all because He first loved us.First chose to die and suffer for us while we were still sinners.First reached out to us and call us to come to Him and be called His own. So amazing is this amazing grace that there will never be enough words in all of the human vocab to fully describe or comprehend it.

Just to share this verses that really struck me when i 'accidentally' saw and read it:

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be."Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah's womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. - Romans 4:18-21

ah yes.i hope i remember that always and start to live by it.Because i know many times i dont.

Sigh. Have u ever tried to fix something, but in the end only to make things worse? (ALOT worse).Oh yeah. I sure did.like..yesterday. SIGHS. One thing i learnt..NEVER EVER mess with technical stuffs ever again,especially when it comes to modems and routers which is about as essential as food and water here in cheras. Not to mention,i managed to trouble other people in the process.So sorry my dear housemates for dragging u gurls into this mess..really sorry.

Ahh.And it's finally over. American Idol Season 7. Definitely my most fav season ever. The season where i really cared for many of the contestants..the season where i looked fwd to watching most every week and IMO,the season with the most talent and interesting personalities. Loved the results show tonight btw..*and thank goodness i managed to succesfully avoid all possible spoilers till i watched it at 7pm :D*
Absolutely loved having michael johns performing on stage again and i just loooooved the One Republic and David A duet.Wished he did that song during the show. oh and not forgetting the Gladys Knight audition HAHA.Robert Downey Jr aka Iron Man?! Now THAT was unexpected lol. and how could i miss out.. "I AM your brotherrrr...your best friend foreverrrrr" HAHA

Oh well, now that its all over with, Congratulations to David Cook for being the new American Idol and also to dear David Archuleta
who is equally a winner himself. Both of them will certainly go far :) Cant wait for their albums to be out! :D GAah. House AND American Idol finished their run in the same week? -.- Looks like all i'll have to entertain myself with in the coming weeks is my books -.-

Tonight's AI 7's season finale was good.Really enjoyed it. Both Davids did a fantastic job but as Simon said regarding David A's performance, "That was a knockout." As bias as i may sound *cough* i just have to say that David A looked like he wanted to win more badly.He sang his heart out!And as someone mentioned somewhere online, "when he sang Imagine he was like..'This is It.' and it was perfect". Of course i'll still give props for DC.I really liked his 2nd song, 'Dream Big'.i think that was my fav performance from him.
Fantastic final performances for a great season :)

Overall, they're both winners anyway irregardless of who gets the title tmr.

*pls dont give me any spoilers tomorrow k people.u know i hate spoilers :P*

House

For all faithful followers of the House series, you MUST catch season 4's finale ASAP.
I seriously dont remember ever shedding ANY tears for the past 4 seasons of House i've followed. I definitely remember alot of laughing but no crying. and man today i cried till i had to blow my nose after i've finished -.-
This season's finale was seriously..."owning"(Jolyn Ong, 2008) lol. Maybe its because after 4 seasons,ive identified with the characters so well. but it was seriously heart wrenching. not sappy sad, but heartbreaking sad.and lets just say the sight of House shedding tears for the first time ever is in itself..shocking? Ahh. Best season finale ever.

by the looks of this season's ending, next season is gonna be veryy interesting. But..7 more months till then? you gotta be kidding me.grr.

Chronicles of Narnia : Prince Caspian

3 words: I loved it.

It was more fast-paced,more interesting and edgy than the first film..definitely more humor in it too.not to mention one superrrrrrrrr cute character in it that i wish i can just take home with me HAHA. (its not human btw lol) anyway,i have to mention that...LOTR really comes to mind a number of times when i watched this movie lol. but they're still different in their own ways :) I was able to connect with the characters and i just love to see how much they've grown and changed(appearance and character-wise) Most notably, Edmund the younger brother..played by skandar keynes. He was soooo annoying in the first movie i wanted to slap him lol. But in this movie,he seriously kicks butt HAHA. And for the girls watching this movie, there are not 1,not 2 but 3 good looking *ehem* characters(HAHA) for you to feast your eyes on :P :P

Can you believe this used to be that annoying boy in the first film?! omg. LoL. crap.im sensing some major celebrity crush. *cough* he's a really good actor also kay.his acting got the best reviews from most movie go-ers.



My 2nd fav-Peter the elder bro,played by william mosely. gosh. lolol.


Prince Caspian, played by Ben Barnes was ok lah.His acting sure needs much more improvement though.but still okay i guess,for a new comer..

Overall, i really enjoyed the movie.I reeeally love movies where there are alot of isi tersirat(fuyoh sastera rofl) or symbolisms used. And as known to many,this movie based on a christian author's work has many christian symbolisms in it..which made it all the more meaningful for me :) I wish i had all the books in the series and the time to read them but obviously i dont.oh well.

Now if only i dont have to wait another 3 years for Narnia:Voyage of the Dawn Treader to come out -.-

Today's Results Show was pretty(or i can say..very) interesting.
Fantasia and her fluoroscent pink hair + suffocating body hugging clothes + backup singers in MORE suffocating clothes = me going o.O
But the owning moment was simon's expression when she nearly finished her song. LOL.classic!
Anyways, fantasia's pink hair and screaming aside, i absolutely loved the homcoming videos! very nice and touching.got me a lil teary eyed(gahh -.-) and laughing as well,esp at David A. going..
"i cant believe all these people..where'd they all park?" soo cute. :P



Anyway..Next week's grand finale's gonna be interesting :D The finale were predictable but its outcome,no one can say for sure,unlike the previous 2 seasons where u can tell who's the winner straight away. not to mention its been a while since there's been a 2 guys finale.and i'll be happy irregardless of which david wins.they both deserve it (yes im ok with david C now :P)

unexpected.

I hope i made the right decision.

For the past one year,i've been 'working' under the Residential Hall department for my scholarship..and last semester i've already decided im gonna switch to the Corporates Affair dept. for this sem due to mien lim's positive recommendation(haha.) however,when i went to choose my dept today...it was already full =( Ms.aziah was trying to coax me to go under her but with all discomfort and "um..er...hmm"s in my sentences,i tried to decline her 'invitation' as nicely as i could -.- no way im gonna work under Student Affairs man >< So anyway, in the end i chose the Marketing dept(mainly influenced by her telling me that i might be able to finish my work hours early as they organize lotsa stuffs) and Ms.Rachel,who was my counsellor when i registered at ucsi last time as my supervisor. Well its a new start. I certainly hope and pray it'll be better than the RH. ah. fingers crossed. i guess ive just gotta trust in Him and hope for the best.after all, "all things work together for the good of those who love Him" right :)

oh well.at least now i know i better have a backup plan next time -.-

Was quite glad that jason left..I like this guy,i really do.Not his singing though. I liked him quite alot during the initial stage after he sang his famous 'Hallelujah' but his star slowly started to fade after that with really mediocre performances(except 'over the rainbow') But well,i really like him as a person..genuine and down to earth not to mention clown-ish(in a good way lol) He seemed really happy and relieved that he was out anyway lol.

So now...its down to three.

My pick for the top 2 would be the same as simon's prediction : the two davids.

David A. has been one of my favs since the start :P and its not just because he's so cute okayy.(and those who know me wil know im not the kind who goes googoo gaga over the many cute/hot/whatever guys there are out there)
I personally, absolutely love his voice. It's soothing and distinctive and...i just lurvee
it :P sweet,humble personality too.
he's like the little josh groban haha



David Cook..Hm.I know that he has tons of fans out there but personally,i kinda disliked him earlier on in the show..mainly cause i sensed or feel that he's kinda smug,even my parents thought so lol. But he grew on me a little and i dont dislike him as much now as ive seen some of his less serious moments and him smiling more often.. at times i still sense some smug moments but, i gotta admit he's a good and pretty original singer.Though i stil prefer daughtry over him :P


haha.this girl i was ok with at the beginning...then i started to wish she would go home but week after week she survived.And she too,started to grow on me a lil..especially after the Broadway week where she performed 'One rock and roll too many'.That was good. However,i would still rather she finished 3rd..though i gotta say she's one tough chick to hang in there for a looooong time lol.


Next week should be pretty interesting..quite unpredictable at the moment because..eventhough im pretty sure david cook will be in the finale,i cant say for sure whether my fav or syesha will join him.Syesha's fanbase is getting stronger and besides,its american idol.You never know..But if it were to be between the 2 davids, i would actually rather have David Cook to win(gasp!) haha! Why so?Simply because if david A. was the runner up,he wont have to be tied to that particular recording deal and can take his time to plan and come up with an album of his own style. :P

Keezya and paul took on the flying coaster.we were waiting for them to scream their lungs out but it never happened cos apparantly,the ride wasn't scary at all lol.
