2008.

What a year it has been.

For some reasons, it was the best year of my life. For other reasons, it wasn't.

But yet again, disbelief is staring right at my face as another year comes to an end. How could it have been so soon?

I've had so many ups and downs this year I lost count of them.
The number of times where hope seems lost and I feel like there's no point in trying anymore. But also the times where I know that despite everything, He is still there. Even when I doubt, even when I give up on myself, I don't know how He doesn't.
The Ups? One major thing was people. There are new people whom I've met this year for which I'm so grateful for. Thank You for putting them in my life. Things I never thought I'll do, things I never thought could or will happen to me did and caught me by surprise. Oh how I'll cherish those moments.

But I guess, i still have plenty more of growing up to do. They say we never stop learning. I need to learn to trust Him more. He deserves every bit of my trust but many a times I fail in that area.
"In whatever season you're in, it is the season to trust Him." I need to live by that.

In a nutshell, 2008 - I gained some. I lost some. But it is another year that I've been given. and thank You for this year. My ups, my downs.

Hello 2009.

Finally.

After two months that never seem to end..it finally did.

Finally. i just wanna say that with a HUGE sigh of relief. FINALLY.

All I wanna do now is just rest. Rest, catch up on hours and hours of lost sleep, and rest.

I'm not gonna miss the job, but i think i'll miss the people there. Thank God that despite getting one of the worst jobs I could get, at least the people there helped made it much less miserable than it could have been.

So what's next?

Sleep.

Sometimes I ask myself this questions.

"Why did I make this choice."
"Why did I try so hard, work so hard, think so hard only to get dumped with this kinda crap."
"Why did I bother in the first place?"
"Is there something more to this?"

And sometimes I wanna ask those certain individuals this questions.

"What makes you think you can call me 'narrow minded' if you don't even know who I am. What if it was your child in that position,ever thought about that,woman?"

I'm just plain sick sometimes of the place I chose to be in. But I guess, im the one to blame for that. But well,nothing new isnt it? Because somehow,someway, I always seem to be making bad choices than good ones.

So..
I'm 2 decades old today. lol. I'm gonna miss having a "1" as the first number in my age but hey,that's life right. HAHA.
Anyway, I'm gonna launch into my "datin/VIP"(eme's words) thank you speech now, so be warned beforehand la :P
Thank you each and everyone of you who remembered, who wished, who called, sms-ed,msn-ed,who gave me something, who took the time to celebrate for me, who gave me big birthday hugs,who drove me around, who used up the space in your blog/msn's PM for my name lol. THANK YOU. I appreciate it very,very much. And it warms my heart to hear from people whom I never thought will remember as well haha. So once again, thank you. (you all know who you are) This year's is one of the simplest celebration I've had but sometimes simplicity is better than all the big hoo-hah. :)

And most of all, thank You Lord. For another year you've added to my life. For Your amazing grace and mercy that never fails. You know all my failures and weaknesses, but You never stopped loving me. Thank you for the amazing people You've put in my life.

Thanks for the awesome cake, pressies (you all know who you are) and thanks Jo for being such a great hostess and for giving me 13 fishballs in your yummy tomyam :) (though I didnt finish it but really,thank you :P)

Breathe.

So..here I am. FINALLY done with another semester of exams,assgmts,reports,etc etc. *Breathes HUGE sigh of relief*. Feels good. :) Of course it doesn't last for long haha.(in ucsi it never does.) Will be starting my co-op(internship) in Cold Storage, subang parade next month onwards..6 yes SIX days a week *cries.* Sigh. Anyway,those subang ppl(haha) come find me for lunch la k in case i become social outcast or stg and start having lunches alone. haha. Actually I was supposed to work at a bakery in Giant (thought i can do some baking d next time cheh) but suddenly got an offer there..though i have to say..i'm quite pleased. haha. Cold Storage def is a better working environ than Giant anyway -.- Have no idea what im suppose to do or what awaits me but..guess i'll leave that to His hands and enjoy my holidays for now :) So anyway, yesterday after our paper, Hsio,wun,jac and I went to midvalley(where else LOL) for dinner..ended up at Chilli's..and I cabut-ed before that to get Hsio's cake and pressie(see, the habit of disappearing everytime was useful after all :P) and i took forever cos i couldnt decide what to get LOL.sheesh my indecisiveness annoys me at times. anyway, finally made it to chilli's(got lost a LITTLE on the way but..nvm.) and the gurls' punya food oso come d haha. and they camwhored while waiting for me

HELLO. I'm back. Surprised? yes, very right. haha.
So i've just shifted to my temporary place on sat..tiring, tiring day. In the afternoon i was already energy-less and was walking like a zombie haha. But we've finally settled in and i'm quite loving the current place now hahah.just have to get used to the climbing up and down the stairs thing though but all is good. Didn't get to say goodbye to my old place though lol and Becky was super bengang and lost when she was er transferred here the other day lol.

Well.Im actually here to update a liiiiil bit on my current,lovely uni life.(so exciting right,i know.) So i have a quiz this sat, another one next wed, an assgmt which i havent touched due in 11 days, another assgmt i havent touched due in 17 days, lab reports every week, a mid term paper on the 4th next month and a final paper the week after. Now,isnt that fun?! HAHA. okok,i shall spare u guys from further details of my interesting life.
Why do I always think short sems arent that bad before they start -.-

anyway, i'll be on a hiatus. Until...further notice.haha! okay maybe after the 11th of Oct(MAYBE) and if i do drop by before then,well thats a bonus :P Am planning to do some changes as well,but i'll see how it goes.

As for now, i have to take my bath.yes,at midnight. No presents for guessing what i was doing earlier.and no,i was not partying online -.-

Wanted to post this up yesterday actually when i first saw it on nally's facebook.


Thank God for this people. for the cf. my life in uni would be much more dull without them. In fact,i can't even imagine life in uni without cf.
Its always difficult to have commitments.at least,for me. But somehow each time I look back, I'm glad i was a part of it all. So, thank You.for giving me the opportunities even when i complained,struggled or was ungrateful about it.

WALL·E, Dreamgirls, The Other Boleyn Girl

WALL·E


So I've been wanting to catch Wall E since it came out in the US like months ago and I had quite some-but-not-too-high expectations for this movie..well, if i were to describe this movie in one word,it would be.. Cute. Not that its a bad thing,its good! lol. why cute?cause thats the first word that will come to mind whenever i think of Wall E-the cutest most cutest robot ever.even cuter than R2D2 lol! Story wise, I have to say that its not the best of the pixar productions but its really good storytelling as well..and i think its the first pixar movie to like..have an emphasis on both robots and the entire human race which is pretty cool :) Character wise,what can i say..they are all just SO dang adorable(the robots i mean..the humans..er.i'll leave that to you) and c'mon..if they can make robots falling in love seem so believable,i think that alone deserves some credit :) The animations are top notch seriously..that's one thing abt pixar i really love(ok its very obvious im a pixar fan lol) besides their brilliant storytelling is their animation skills which are breathtaking. However,some people may find the film a lil draggy or boring at the beginning cause for the first few mins, there are literally no dialogue but I was somehow so absorbed by Wall E and Eve's(Eeeevaah!) cuteness i guess it didnt felt that way for me :P So, would i recommend the show? Yes. Go watch it. Because its definitely alot better than alot of other crappy shows out there these days haha.
Talking abt pixar..i just had a random idea of rating all the pixar movies. its fun!LOL. so here's my list in order of most to least favs:

Dreamgirls

HAha!Quite an old movie i know but i only watched it for the first time on Astro few days back.
I guess this show was mostly known for Jennifer Hudson's brilliant acting.yeah,after watching this film,I can certainly see why she won that best supporting actress oscar.she definitely can act.and sing too.haha.indeed,you dont have to win AI to win an oscar lol. Besides that,the rest of the cast did a great job..abit..rare to see Eddie Murphy acting a serious role though LOL. but anyway,i love the songs from this film!Especially 'Listen' by beyonce.The character development was pretty good and its not one of those shows where i'll say i've wasted 2 hrs of my life on haha. But for me,the main star of the movie was definitely jennifer hudson. Overall, nice movie.

The Other Boleyn Girl


I briefly heard abt this movie some time ago and while at my uncle's place the other day, he had this dvd so I thought of giving it a try. I have a soft spot for period dramas anyway i dont know why haha. Anyway,this movie's based on Phillipa Gregory's best selling novel abt two sisters, Anne and Mary Boleyn and their relationship with King Henry. Anne Boleyn in real life was the mother of the famous Queen Elizabeth I of England. After some researching on IMDB, i found out that the story is mostly fictional(the names of the characters are real) and the real history of the 3 main characters and other characters are very different than what was potrayed in the film. However, I did enjoy the film.It got pretty low ratings at imdb and alot people didnt like it cause of the film's inaccuracy,rushed storyline,etc but yeah,i enjoyed it. I think i just really enjoy period films..lol.i love the costumes and their tradition and stuff and I enjoy learning or getting to know the history of royal families like that of the characters in this film..now,THIS is the kind of history that really interests me..not those i learn from my secondary school textbook.cough. anywayy, maybe im bias but well..the acting was decent and although some may say the storyline is very rushed i guess i didnt notice it cos perhaps i would prefer it to be a little quick rather than the scenes dragging on forever(good example:me and jac fell asleep watching Elizabeth:The Golden Age) but then the character development part would have to be sacrificed i guess.So perhaps viewers won't feel as much for the characters. I think generally girls will enjoy this movie more haha. But overall, enjoyable movie.Not a masterpiece but enjoyable on an entertainment level.

So the other day,jac came down from subang and i picked her from the station and wun on the way to aeon..did some shopping..watched wall E(review of that later) and got cal 3 tops..anyway,we were planning to go at abt 8+ but then got delayed and ended up reaching there abt 9 and what do you know...we were the earliest(excluding relatives and neighbours) to arrive. lol. the party reeeally started abt 12 and by then we had to leave.haha. ok pics time

hm.i think i'll write the review in a separate post. Anywayyy...i feel like i've alot to say but don't know what to say LOL.nvm.my 2 last posts were a novel anyway so i'll end here. :)

Wow.

im at a lost for words.
i mean..wow.just wow.Again, He suprises me.Again He proves to me and reminds me that His grace is indeed sufficient.that even when i fail or fall short so miserably,He is in control and He can turn things around and makes even the seemingly impossible,possible.
I finally got all my results. The results for Food processing, principles of nutrition and food chemistry came out yday and all glory to God, who blessed me with 2As and eventhough I got a C+ for my food chem lol..im still grateful for it.eventhough yes i admit,just 3 more marks and i cud have gotten a B and im still kinda kicking myself for knowing that it could have been just 3 marks away but be thankful anne.be thankful.because i was kinda expecting a C for food chem knowing how disastrous the paper had been for me,but He blessed me with more than what i expected..yes i got a "+" at the front LOL!but it is still better.and im thankful.
And so today we had the CPR at nally's place...omigosh.the houses in her neighbourhood is crazy nice okay.i wish i can take pics and stuff but..nah.dowan be so jakun la HAHA! and nally's house is wayyy nice too.i love it :D anyway, we had CPR..and some of them brought their laptops..i checked a few times earlier today to see if the results for waste mgmt has come out but nothing.Then,at abt 10+,i just checked again to see..and i just went..omgosh.turns out my waste mgmt subject(the one i hated the most) was the highest among all my subs LOL. i was just...stunned.soo overjoyed,but at the same time shocked. I wasnt really expecting anythg for this sub,of course i thought,man an A would be great but I wasnt holding high hopes for anything.I was just curious to see how my marks would turn out and He sprung this pleasant suprise on me.I mean...wow.i just..i just dont know what to say. Because looking back on the condition that I was in before this exams, it just amazes me how He had somehow turn things around.Even when i gave up hope on myself,and felt like just totally giving up time and again...I just..gosh.i dont know. just..thank You Lord. I couldnt have done it without You..it wouldnt have been possible without You. im not bragging abt anything,because I dont have the rights to.I just know that it was His unfailing love,His amazing grace that saw me through what seems one, if not, the worst times of my studying life in ucsi. All glory,all honor, all praise unto Him now and forevermore.
He never fails to amaze me.

Back from the dead?

HELLO.
LoL.
So yeah..by jac's demand..(haha) Here i am back blogging.Last time im the one always asking her to blog now terbalik pula -.-
So yeah..extremely,ridiculously short holidays holidays are here.(3rd Sept class commencing..oh how i just love ucsi..)
Another semester over..its just gosh.crazy really how fast time flies.i mean like,what on earth?!Its already end of august?! Im starting my 2nd sem of my 2nd year in less than 2 weeks and 2 months later going for my work attachment.wow.
Anyway..haha.I remember before entering this semester being like..half reluctant,half excited abt what awaits me..seeing its the 2nd year..well i guess..alot of stuff has gone on.big and small but its like i cant really recall very major stuffs now.Either Im getting old or my life's pretty much boring HAHA.but in terms of my studies..its been..haha.lets just say now that i totally get what many ppl said to me before abt the 2nd year of university.Now,i can tell that to my juniors :P Though in terms of assignments,i think that my SAM assgmts were still the craziest kinds ive encountered to date in my studying life.I mean at least in uni i've never stayed up the whole night before to finish up my assmgts haha. This sem's finals was..lol sad to say..the worst finals I've ever had in UCSI i think HAHA.yeah seriously i think it is.I was just reeally procastinating ALOT during the "study" week and unlike all the previous semesters,this sem was like FOUR heavy-weight subjects that requires ALOT of studying not to mention that TWO papers in a day thing -.- so i was just so NOT prepared and yeah i had some breakdowns during those last minute moments as well(im just really fragile at times :P) and haha! you should have seen how us 4 girls were during the last night before the last 2 papers lol.jac took a nap at 2/3 stg and woke up an hour later,cal slept at 3+ and woke up at 5+,wun slept at 1+ and woke up at 4+,and i went to bed at abt 5 and woke up at 8+. ahaha.oh boy. this are the kinda memories i will definitely recall when im a working woman and recall my studying days.
So right now..im just chilling.Enjoying and soaking in the short but sweet freedom from all the craziness of university until it all starts all over again soon. Tomorrow's gonna be a pretty interesting and exciting day.Jac will be coming down to klang(she loves klang HAHA :P) for Cal's birthday party and with wun,we're gonna catch Wall E at aeon and shop for Cal's pressie and off to her party at night..talking abt which its a hawaiian theme party but im still kinda clueless abt my 'costume'.anyone wanna sponsor me coconut shells? HAHAH.
so anyway woot.i'll have something to blog about after tomorrow? LOL.

Passion World Tour '08

My delayed update on the Passion World Tour 2008 at Sunway Convention Center last sunday..

the whole thing was AWESOME!!
This conference was something I nvr hestitated abt going..when i found out abt it,it didnt take long for me to already make up my mind i wanted to go (which is quite amazing considering my indecisiveness,as most of you know.)
It was a loooong day..after church,straight away left to pyramid with caleb,vern and clifford..had lunch and then at 3+ we went to line up and stuff already (the doors only opened at 5) So 3+ seemed kinda early right? uh huh.there were SO many ppl already there that time>< lol. Anyways, i met up with the cf-ers and the doors finally opened at 5 and everyone just RUSHED inside.Few of us were sitting down and thankfully,we managed to get up in time or we might have just been crushed haha. Got a pretty nice seat,centre of centre row(thanks robin,nally!:P) so it was great. Well overall,the whole thing was awesome.Praise and worship was..WOW.I havent had that kind of experience for some time already actually and it just felt soo refreshing to be in His presence and just praising and worshiping like we did. and i love Chris Tomlin!one of my fav singers now lol.Ps.Louie was the speaker and God's anointing was just upon Him..the message was ...wow. Especially the end. I manage to record 85% of the message on my phone,just to hear it again when i want to next time haha! Well,thank God for this conference,this ministry and the tour.God is using these people I know,to touch and change lives across the world as they tour. God is great! :) okay,enough words,pictures time!
